Allow me to introduce myself, I am Tracey Gardner, Candlemaker, homemaker, mother, wife, former Florist and event planner. Lover of all thing’s décor, minimalistic and design.

My love and passion for candle making was birthed from my former years of floral, wedding and event planning. I love being creative with my hands, challenging my imagination and creativity and trying new things.

I started testing candle making and blending of fragrance oils and found myself enjoying the science behind the making of them. I also wanted a product that was completely environmentally friendly and free from animal testing. I wanted to create something elegant and luxurious, yet with a minimalistic design and style, and so Simply Scented Co was born.

As I have a background of anxiety and after much research came across statistics worldwide that show anxiety disorders are common across the globe. According to the WHO 264 million individuals worldwide suffer from an anxiety disorder, additionally 4,6 % are woman and 2,6% are males.

This is my story and I know I’m not alone, but here I am able to make beautiful candles that communicate with our souls, the unspeakable that dwells amid a candle flame. It enlightens, enlivens, inspires, whispers secrets, indulges memories, comforts and ultimately connects. No matter how thick the darkness, the light of one candle conquers it.

Candles indeed are a burning example that the whole is just a sum of its parts, be they just a little wax and a wick as they are, and that just sums it up perfectly for me as a whole and the parts I am made up of, body, soul and spirit, these candles bring joy, hope and a sense of calm to my mind and ease the anxiety that can just invite itself at any given time, and in turn I hope that others can discover that no matter how solitary one flame is, it’s never alone or lonely for its light knows no boundaries and touches eternity.
